The project was to improve transport connectivity; facilitate rapidly growing international traffic along the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Northeastern Corridor; increase accessibility to opportunities, enterprise, markets, and services for the locals; and strengthen overall trade competitiveness. Its intended outcome was more efficient transport across the Lao PDR–Viet Nam border and on the sections of the GMS Northeastern Corridor.
This report validates the completion report's assessment of the project. IED overall assessment: Successful.
