Based on the Population Census of 2010 information, an analysis has been made concerning the level of instruction of the rural population in Northeast Argentina—one of the slowest regions in the country—along with a departmental classification based on level of studies. The degree of instruction of this rural population represents an aspect that is relevant in that it is one of the key conditions which determines the level of income a person, potentially, might earn in the context that these rural inhabitants see themselves forced more and more to compete with city dwellers for jobs.
