[정책] Enhancing the Resilience of the Wildlife Sector through Collaborative Management Partnerships (CMPs) in Kenya’s Protected Areas : Policy Brief

케냐 국외연구자료 연구보고서 - World Bank 발간일 : 2021-06-01 등록일 : 2021-08-29 원문링크

This brief summarizes the key recommendations made by the policy framework report entitled: enhancing the resilience of the wildlife sector through collaborative management partnerships (CMPs) in Kenya’s protected areas: framework of key considerations. Many of the lower income earning national parks may have a unique aesthetic and high biodiversity value that can offer distinct attractions. This can diversify Kenya’s tourism model while generating new investment and revenue through other complementary approaches. Therefore, this work seeks to enhance the sustainability of wildlife management in Kenya regarding knowledge on private sector participation (PPPs) geared towards reducing the burden on the Kenya wildlife services (KWS). This work intends to help: (a) complement the ongoing conservation work by KWS and other stakeholders, (b) inform a much stronger and better recovery of the wildlife sector following the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, and (c) Kenya’s wildlife sector to build-back-better following the COVID-19 crisis.
