[경제] Report on Strategic Segmentation : Sustainable Food Production and Processing - Croatia Competitiveness Reinforcement Initiative

The Food Industry is perhaps the most prevalent industry across the world with an innumerable set of firms engaged in production. In analyzing the sector, it was determined that the frequency of delivery necessary for a given food product was the differentiating factor for profitability. Moreover, in scanning the global food market, three macro-typologies of users have been identified. The ability of firms in this Sub-Thematic Priority Area (STPA) to join global value chains (GVCs), sustain their involvement in GVCs, and move to higher value activities in GVCs may be strengthened by a number of interventions. This document is a part of the Competitiveness Reinforcement Initiative (CRI) on the Sustainable Food Production and Processing Sub-Thematic Priority Area (STPA12). The project is being carried out by a team of the World Bank in collaboration with teams from the Croatian Chamber of Economy, that are being trained in the methodology, under the framework of a Reimbursable Advisory Services contract with the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of Croatia.
